Not right in Glenwood’s backyard, but well worth the drive! Imagine impressive views of the state’s tallest mountains towering over 14,000 ft above sea level and silhouetted against a Colorado blue sky. Located in Colorado’s newest National park, Browns Canyon National Monument is Colorado’s most popular rafting destination with amazing scenery and world class rapids for all levels of experience.
The Numbers is a steep, rocky technical section of the Arkansas River. This trip is ideally suited for the adventurer and requires lots of paddling. There are seven distinct rapids, most notably number four and number five, but pay close attention as there are many fractions within each whole-numbered rapid! This is a physically challenging section so we recommend previous experience. A delicious riverside lunch is served.
